No one can deny the quirky and adorably loony style of Betsey Johnson. Everything she creates is super young and fun if not downright campy. It’s her personality. I would re-name her the ambassador of sugar cube punk. Some of you might not like this much sweet in your cup of tea, but that’s Betsey Johnson and I personally love it. Too many designers take fashion so seriously. This is not to say that she doesn’t as well, the woman has built an empire out of handbags, but the Queen of Pink, is about something else: seriously fun clothes. Her Spring 2010 collection featured bold prints including animal and lots florals. Her swimwear includes lots of gingham in bright colors but also in black and white. Ruffles that were seen on the runway were also pinned to the little saloon inspired swimming skirts.
