Anyone who is wishing for the swimsuits of days gone by that feature extreme styles will adore the spring collection of one-piece swimwear shown at NY fashion week by Gottex. Super-high cut legs, navel-baring necklines, and asymmetrical silhouettes peppered the runway show that recently took place.

Simple, bold colors and barely-there tie-dye swimsuits lent a strong earthy feel to the collection while metal trims and wide belts gave the bathing suits a strong urban vibe. Gottex designed the perfect blend contrasts with their hard-edged one-piece swimsuits they paired with flowing Grecian style wraps, cover-ups and kimonos.

Gottex’s theme was tough hippie chick, a look that only grows in popularity as time passes. Celebs are already going wild over the inspired new line of one-piece swimwear- keep a lookout for starlets of all ages to start popping up on beaches garbed in the swimsuits by Gottex soon.

White bikinis—and white bathing suits in general—are a difficult feat to pull off, and those of us who are pale and aren’t blessed with natural brown skin or a healthy glow tend to steer clear of them for fear of being washed out on the beach.

Leave it to Lindsay Lohan to bring hope to pale-skinned women everywhere, as she sits by her Hollywood hotel pool in a stunning white bikini, with a strapped Bandeau top and perfect little bikini swimwear bottoms.

Though she usually sports her own fake spray tan line, Lindsay looks like she’s letting her natural freckled skin show, and it works well with this white swimsuit.

She looks healthy and fit, and the cut of the Bandeau top is very flattering on her frame. While the actress has had her ups and downs in the last few years, this look is really an up for her.

Hopefully, it’s a reflection of the direction her career will be taking soon.

One of this season’s current, hottest swimsuits trends is Bandeau swimwear. This easy-to-wear women’s swimwear style is flattering to any body shape, and offers a sleek, sporty swimwear silhouette while still managing to be both feminine and super sexy.

The bandeau’s barely-there design is made up of a single band across the bust instead of the typical triangle bra top, with a bikini style bottom.

Modified bandeau swimwear may be cinched in the middle for that added touch of cleavage, or may come with thin removable straps for an entirely new look, like the one by Salinas swimwear pictured below.

The bandeau has been seen recently on stars and celebrity trend-setters like Ashley Olsen, Rihanna, Kate Bosworth, and Nicole Ritchie. This swimsuit promises staying power, and is not just a trendy look that’ll be long gone by next summer.
