We were among the 15,000 people who got a first-hand look at some of the hottest swimwear fashions that will be seen on the beach this summer.

What do Paris Hilton and South Beach socialite-turned-swimwear fashion designer Alexis Barbara have in common? A little more than you may realize.

The two young heiresses are both drop-dead gorgeous fashionistas who move in high-profile circles, live jet-set Hollywoodesque lives and share a passion for haute couture fashion.

And last summer, Alexis Barbara debuted her first swimwear collection at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Miami Swim featuring exotic and tribal influences. We really love this Miami native’s bikinis — they’re uber sexy and extremely skimpy, so wear if you dare.

Alexis has since launched a full ready-to-wear collection that’s getting rave reviews. In fact, the cameras spotted Paris Hilton ringing in the New Year in Australia sporting an ultra chic Alexis dress!

But the similarities don’t end there. Alexis, who like Paris is the daughter of a wealthy property developer (Oscar Barbara) has a thing for Australian hotties. She was once engaged to tennis star Mark Philippoussis — the same guy who had a very public fling with her royal blondness, Ms. Hilton.

We can’t all be lucky enough to live the fabulous life like the rich and famous, but with the right swimwear, you can easily fake the funk and look like a VIP in South Beach.

The paparrazi spotted the young and beautiful Vanessa Hudgens frolicking at the beach sporting a sexy striped Betsey Johnson bkini.

We absolutely love this nautical-themed look on the High School Musical 3 star! Her striking bikini is detailed with a rope-embellishment trim and finished with beaded, strappy tie sides for extra flair.

And kudos to Vanessa for perfecting this look with a Sara Jessica Parker-inspired daisy in her hair!

Now for extra star appeal, wrap an earth toned sarong around your waist and add a pair of slightly oversized shades along with a slightly oversized bag.

Next, add a chic beach hat and step into a pair of Esparadrills. And lastly, find some arm, neck and ear bling to finish the look and head poolside, or to the beach boutiques — anywhere you can been seen and noticed — for some star treatment.

Don’t worry if you can’t find any paparazzi to mistake you for Vanessa — just opt for plan “B” and head poolside in that hot bikini for free cocktails — you’ll get ‘em.
